How tech installer Scenariio is helping Bustler street market get ready for big Derby reopening

Three-month installation includes smart lighting and data sensors, security, AV equipment and better wireless throughout

The Bustler Market team is getting ready to reopen in Derby's Chocolate Factory

A company that specialises in installing hi-tech cabling, lighting, security and wireless systems has taken new premises at The Chocolate Factory in Derby.

Smart technology and IT infrastructure provider Scenariio has relocated to the Siddals Road space – and one of its first contracts from its new home will be for the Bustler Market which also recently moved there.

The team at Scenariio has been helping the street food market get ready to reopen at its new, bigger premises, which will have space for more than 1,500 customers and outside space for 300.

The three-month renovation has included installing smart lighting and data sensors, better security systems, audio visual equipment and better wireless throughout.

Rob Pritchard, managing director at Scenariio, said: “It is a really exciting time for both businesses as we emerge from what has been an extremely challenging period.

“The Chocolate Factory site will deliver a smart, adaptable space, that allows better interaction between the occupants, customers, and the building’s technology in a way that Derby has never seen before.

“But, it will also showcase how technology can improve the customer experience, especially in a hospitality environment.

“We have worked closely with the Bustler Market team to ensure we’re helping them give their customers a fantastic experience when they visit, and tech plays a big part in that.
