Manchester tech firm º£½ÇÊÓƵFast has seen a revenue increase thanks to the growth of its enterprise hosting division.

The firm, which provides servers, cloud services and colocation to government, public sector and commercial organisations, saw revenues for the year ended December 31, 2018 increase by 12 per cent to £53.9m, up from £48.3m in 2017.

Earnings before tax also grew from £19.3m in 2017 to £21.9m, delivering a margin of 41 per cent.

The firm said its enterprise hosting division is its biggest growth area, with record wins across private and hybrid cloud environments, which now represent 43 per cent of total sales.

The year also saw º£½ÇÊÓƵFast take a minority private equity investment from private equity firm Inflexion, handing over a 31.6 per cent stake in the newly-formed holding company º£½ÇÊÓƵFast Group, which comprises its public sector arm and ClearCloud.

º£½ÇÊÓƵFast CEO Lawrence Jones said: “We continue to invest heavily in research and development (R&D), building the products our customers tell us they need.

“This, coupled with the hard work our team puts in every day, helps us to keep delivering double-digit growth.”

Headcount at the firm increased by 23 per cent in 2018 to 365 staff members, with a particular focus on hiring in R&D and DevOps.
