Innovative Teesside business Applied Graphene has signed three major international distribution deals for its graphene products in a week, as it ramps up its network to drive up sales.

The Wilton company manufactures the so-called ‘wonder material’ graphene, which is stronger than diamond and acts as a better conductor than copper, and has formed a growing number of collaborations with companies, including paints, coatings, composites and functional materials sector businesses.

The AIM-listed Durham University spin-out also has its own range of graphene dispersions, offered to users worldwide through a growing distribution network.

Applied Graphene Materials has now announced it has signed a distribution agreement with leading European chemical distributor Arpadis Benelux NV, based in Antwerp, Belgium.

Arpadis works with major global chemicals producers and SMEs, helping manufacturers meet their environmental responsibilities by seeking alternative products and delivering more efficient supply chains. The agreement will see the two companies collaborate on customer opportunities and introduce AGM’s Genable graphene dispersions technology into the º£½ÇÊÓƵ, Germany, Spain, France, Portugal and Scandinavia coatings and polymers markets.

The agreement is exclusive in all regions apart from the º£½ÇÊÓƵ, allowing AGM’s º£½ÇÊÓƵ sales team to further strengthen existing relationships and develop a strong pipeline of sales opportunities.

The deal comes a day after the Redcar firm signed a distribution agreement with Maroon Group LLC, based in Ohio, US, a distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients across North America.

The agreement adds significantly to AGM’s growing commercial distribution network and provides a direct route into the coatings and polymers sectors across the US and Canada, with the agreement seeing the two companies collaborating on customer opportunities for AGM’s Genable technology in Canada and the US.
