A supply chain specialist has expanded its network of branches in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ with a new distribution centre at Burton.

Supply Technologies has opened a 25,000 sq ft facility in the town, which increases its capacity to support a growing client-base across the Midlands.

Utilising narrow aisles, the latest material handling technology and warehouse management software, the new facility follows the opening earlier this year of a branch in Hull, serving the Yorkshire region.

Employing a workforce of 20, with newly-created jobs and transfers from existing branches in the Midlands, the Burton facility will provide components to the industrial equipment, transportation and general industry sectors.

It will be led by branch manager Adam Ward, who has a decade of experience in the fastening hardware industry.

He said: “I’m very proud to take on the responsibility for this new branch, which will play a key role in enhancing manufacturing productivity across the Midlands region.

“The location is ideal for our business and has enabled us to attract talented new people to the business who will work alongside our existing, experienced colleagues to exceed our customers’ requirements.”

Supply Technologies has experience in more than 100 industries, with a team of 1,200 staff at 70 sites across three continents.
