The digital marketing company launched a new office in Leeds last year and is now looking at opening a base in Dublin

Mediaworks’ managing director, Brett Jacobson

Digital marketing agency Mediaworks is planning to create 50 new roles and expand into Ireland this year as part of its growth plans.

The Gateshead firm has previously announced plans to establish a Manchester office, to join bases in Edinburgh and London and build on the creation of its base in Leeds last year.

The company, which provides digital services to regional, national and international firms, now has an office in Dublin in its sights as part of plans to add to its 132-strong workforce across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

It comes as the firm reports a 50% increase in monthly revenues over the last 12 months, which it said would see it deliver more than £10m in turnover in the coming year, despite continued economic uncertainty owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The business, which added 44 staff across all divisions last year, has also carried out a brand relaunch.

Founder and CEO Brett Jacobson said: “It’d be an understatement to say 2020 was a worrying time for everyone.

“However, in adversity we found our clear sense of purpose. We’ve been doing it for years, but it became very apparent in the last 12 months that the work we do enables clients to take ownership of their own futures. When people aren’t sure what’s round the corner in these uncertain times, we offer a very reassuring view of the digital opportunities ahead.

“From independent corner stores to High Street giants, the last 12 months has shown everyone that future business success is about having a positive digital presence.
