Eventurous launches virtual escape room called Ransom where remote teams must defeat the sinister 'Chaos Group'

“We’ve seen a huge demand for virtual escape rooms over the pandemic"

Eventurous has created a virtual escape room called Ransom

An events business has launched an online escape room to try and make up some of the revenue lost during the lockdown.

Prior to the pandemic Eventurous, an events and team building company based at Sheepy Magna, near Market Bosworth in the west Leicestershire countryside, was providing services ranging from conferences to event production, family fun days and gala dinners.

Since last year it has been building up its virtual offering including online game shows and culinary sessions to “engage and refresh weary employees” missing the social construct of the office.

Now it has expanded its portfolio with an intriguing escape room team building activity.

Developed in-house, Ransom allows remote teams to work together to solve puzzles and defeat the sinister “Chaos Group”.

Eventurous sales director Kieron Bowen said it differed from most other virtual escape rooms, because it comes with real-time assistance from a live events team and an immersive, story-led experience that tests communication and puzzle-solving skills and introduces lots of suspicious characters.

Mr Bowen said: “A highly organised and well-equipped criminal organisation known as Chaos Group have threatened to release their newly developed poison.

“It’s up to you to track down and stop them before time runs out. Your predecessor’s investigation became compromised and it’s now your responsibility to finish what they started.
