A tech firm has announced plans to create 100 new jobs in Birmingham.

Metcloud, which specialises in providing cybersecurity services, has agreed an office deal to take the entire fifth floor of Lyndon House in Edgbaston.

As well as creating up to 100 roles in cybersecurity, the company said the expansion would enable it to increase its presence in key sectors, including defence, critical national infrastructure, Government, health, finance and insurance.

The move to a new home follows the recent award of several new contracts including being selected to provide cybersecurity services to specialist defence manufacturing firm NMS º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

The company recently invested in a new facility in Leamington Spa which will focus on manufacturing protected patrol vehicles for the º£½ÇÊÓƵ defence industry and international markets.

Metcloud's products will support NMS º£½ÇÊÓƵ's compliance with stringent defence industry regulations, providing the required framework to protect sensitive data and enable operational efficiency.

The business is also working with other companies to combat cybercrime through the formation of partnerships with complementary cybersecurity providers, including Birmingham-based CyberQ Group.
