Cloud data firm Matillion raises $100m in funding round led by US-based Lightspeed Venture Partners

Matillion also has offices in New York, Denver and Seattle and works with the likes of Tui, Travis Perkins and Cisco.

A Greater Manchester -headquartered cloud company has raised $100m through a funding round led by a US venture capital firm.

Matillion, which also has offices in New York, Denver and Seattle, secured the financial boost from Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation from Battery Ventures, Sapphire Ventures, Scale Venture Partners with financing from Silicon Valley Bank º£½ÇÊÓÆµ Branch.

The company is headquartered in Altrincham and has worked with the likes of Tui, Travis Perkins, Cisco and Ad Astra.

Chief executive Matthew Scullion said: "Modern data teams are facing an influx of data from across the enterprise, while under immense pressure to rapidly deliver the actionable insights required to compete in today’s digital economy.
