CEVA Logistics says 220-strong º£½ÇÊÓÆµ company car fleet will be fully electric within four years

220-strong CEVA Logistics company car fleet going electric

One of the world’s biggest supply management companies has announced that its 220-strong º£½ÇÊÓÆµ company car fleet will become fully electric within four years.

CEVA Logistics’ said the move would cut carbon emissions by 262 tonnes a year and all vehicle charging points at company facilities will use green electricity.

CEVA, which is based in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, employs more than 5,300 people in the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ and more around the world, and turned over more than £357 million in 2019.

This month the company took delivery of the first fully electric cars as the first part of the new policy came in.

It aims to have its entire fleet of more than 220 cars moved to all-electric before 2025,

Ahead of Government plans to ban the sale of petrol and diesel cars by 2030.

By next year as existing cars reach the end of their leases, just over half of new vehicles joining the CEVA fleet will be electric.

The company’s º£½ÇÊÓÆµ employees drive almost 1.4 million miles a year, currently creating a carbon footprint of 380 tonnes of CO2.
