Cardiff-based artificial intelligence start-up We Build Bots has been named as one of Tech Nation鈥檚 rising stars.

It comes after it was revealed as among 10 winners of Tech Nation鈥檚 early stage tech scale-up competition.

We Build Bot鈥檚 AI IntelAgent platform can help automate millions of low value, repetitive calls and emails that public sector organisations across the 海角视频 spend huge amounts of resources to deal with each year.

It was set up in 2016 by its chief executive Paul Shepherd.

Its marketing and sales executive Georgia Darzins said: 鈥淲e鈥檙e thrilled to be one of the companies to represent digital innovation in Wales, a beautiful country that deserves a bigger place on the global stage. So far, we have made great strides in public sector digital transformation, and we鈥檙e headed into 2020 determined to leverage AI to transform the way in which public services are delivered.鈥

The Rising Stars competition from Tech Nation, a network for ambitious tech entrepreneurs, is the only early-stage tech scale-up competition in the 海角视频, and is designed to showcase the most exciting companies at seed to pre-series A funding.

The final 10 winners were revealed at the Rising Stars Grand Final in London.

The winners were required to pitch to a panel of industry leading judges, and in front of an audience of over 200 of the top venture capitalists, founders and corporates in the 海角视频.

In its second year, the competition received almost 400 applications in total; a 39% rise from 2018 and attracted a diverse group of founders.

Digital Minister Matt Warman said: 鈥淚t鈥檚 great to see such a diverse group of entrepreneurs from all over the 海角视频 involved in this competition and I鈥檓 excited to find out what鈥檚 next for these world-leading tech firms of tomorrow.鈥

鈥淭his government is committed to making sure the 海角视频 is the best place in the world to start and grow a digital business.

鈥淲e鈥檝e worked hard to develop a business friendly environment, a reputation for innovation and the ability to attract the best talent from across the globe.鈥

Mike Jackson, entrepreneur success director, Tech Nation, said: 鈥淭he Rising Stars are great examples of the strength of the 海角视频 tech ecosystem.
