A digital marketing agency in Cardiff has acquired Pembrokeshire-based United Studios for an undisclosed amount.

Spindogs, which reported a turnover of £3.7m in the year ending October 2022, said the deal will put the business on track to achieve a targeted £4m turnover.

United Studios specialises in e-commerce website solutions and Wordpress development. Its clients include Cardigan Bay Brownies, Bluestone Brewing Company, Walter Rose & Son Butchers and high-end Italian bike manufacturer Pinarello Bikes.

The deal sees its client portfolio transfer across to Spindogs with immediate effect, increasing the agency's development and e-commerce expertise in the automotive, housing and education sectors.

The seven members of staff will also join Spindogs, which employs 70 staff in its offices in Cardiff and Oxford, however they will remain at the Pembrokeshire office.

Byron Rees, who founded United Studios in 2008, will take on the role of solutions architect at the Cardiff agency.

Mr Rees said: "Becoming part of Spindogs is the next natural step for the business, giving us access to a bigger team, bigger projects and a wider skill-set. Our clients will also benefit from being part of a larger agency with more resource and greater capabilities.
