Car finance company Zuto to create 150 jobs

Car finance company Zuto has announced plans to create 150 jobs.

The fintech, which has offices in Macclesfield and Manchester, said the new roles would be based in its contact centre.

Zuto started out as Car Loan 4U after being founded by James Wilkinson and Ryan Dignan in 2006. To date, the business has secured £17m from Scottish Equity Partners.

The company also announced plans to create 150 jobs last May.

According to recently-filed accounts, Zuto's turnover increased from £27.9m to £41.4m in the 12 months to June 30, 2022, while its pre-tax profits dipped from £5.6m to £4.9m.

Chief operating officer Aimee Gethin said: "It's a very exciting time for the company following a period of continued growth.

"Since the very start of our journey, we have been on a mission to change things for the better – not only for our customers, but also for our local community, our Zutonites, and the planet.
