A Cambridge tech firm has won an award for offering nearly 500 students opportunities.

Arm, which produces IP chips and creates Internet of Things solutions for its customers, was presented with the Industrial Cadets Award for Strategic Partner 2019 at a ceremony on Tuesday, November 26.

Industrial Cadets is a national industry-led accreditation designed to enhance experiences and create further opportunities for young people.

It is run by the Engineering Development Trust (EDT), a nationwide charity offering young people active learning experiences in STEM related careers.

Arm won the award for its continued support and delivery of Engineering Development Trust (EDT) programmes, as well as the Industrial Cadets initiative, for nearly 10 years.

It is estimated to have reached nearly 500 students in the local area.

Julie Feest, chief executive of EDT, said: “We were blown away by the candidates for this year’s awards.
