BT strikes multi-million pound deal with East Midlands housebuilder Avant Homes

Avant Homes Group has a turnover of £450 million, builds around 2,000 homes a year and has 780 staff

Housebuilder Avant Homes has awarded BT a multi-million pound contract

BT has struck a multi-million pound deal to provide digital support for one of the East Midlands biggest housebuilders.

The comms giant is helping Chesterfield housebuilder Avant Homes update its digital technology, having already helped it keep on top of new reservations and viewings during lockdown.

The next phase of the partnership will see it provide cloud-based support to simplify the operations of Avant’s five regional offices in Scotland, North East, Yorkshire, and the Midlands, as well as its head office in north Derbyshire.

Avant Homes Group has a turnover of £450 million, builds around 2,000 homes a year and has 780 staff.

It currently has 57 live developments across its five operating regions and was recently bought by Wetherby-based Berkeley DeVeer.

The BT support for the business includes 5G mobile access for all Avant Homes staff using EE’s Rapid Site technology. It means they can set up virtual offices or contact points from almost anywhere.

Peter Adams, Avant Homes group business systems and transformation director, said keeping on top of new technology allowed the business to operate effectively.

He said: “By implementing these new communication solutions, we can enable better ways of working and communicating internally and externally.
