Broadband giant TalkTalk eyes corporate arm sale that could be worth over £200m

Broadband giant TalkTalk is eyeing a sale of its business-to-business division in a deal that could be worth over £200m.

First reported by , the Salford-headquartered company is looking to offload TalkTalk Business Direct, which sells directly to 90,000 customers.

If a deal is agreed, TalkTalk’s wholesale platform would continue to provide connectivity. Oakley Advisory is understood to be handling the process.

BusinessLive also understands that proceeds from a potential sale would be reinvested into its wholesale platform.

TalkTalk Business Direct has an annual revenue of more than £85m and an EBITDA of over £17m.

The move comes after TalkTalk was the target of potential acquisitions by rivals Vodafone and Virgin Media O2.
