A Bristol tech company that has established its innovative patient medical record system (PMR) in community pharmacies is now expanding into the online pharmacy sector.

Invatech Health, which is based in Eastville, has developed Titan, cloud-based software that helps pharmacies to manage medicine dispensing and control of business activities in an effort to speed up the user experience for patients and practice owners alike.

Titan also features barcode technology that has been helping South West community pharmacies to cut down dispensing errors by checking medicines against patient prescriptions when scanned.

Invatech has now began collaborating with Glasgow-based online pharmacy Phlo, as it looks to strengthen its foothold in a growing part of the market.

Phlo serves more than 10,000 private and NHS patients and claims to be the only pharmacy to guarantee same day delivery of medicines.

Since launching in January 2020 the business has been experiencing 20% monthly compound growth and operates pharmacy centres in London and Birmingham, where it launched earlier this month.

Backed by crowd funding of £1.65m in the past 12 months, Phlo now has plans to expand its network of pharmacy hubs to major cities across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

Invatech’s system, which is the first PMR system to receive NHS accreditation for 15 years, is already being used by other online pharmacies, with Phlo hoping Titan can bring them efficiency gains of 60% by the end of 2022, as the business executes expansion.
