A former Google executive has joined a Bristol-based IT agency.

Web designer Mentor Digital has appointed Dan Watt, a former senior strategist at the tech giant, as its digital marketing director. More recently Mr Watt served as a managing partner at global advertising group McCann’s Bristol office. Mentor Digital said he had helped develop online marketing campaigns for some of the world’s largest brands.

In his new role, Mr Watt will be responsible for helping to grow Mentor Digital’s client base, with the South West firm saying he would play “a key part” in developing its overall business strategy.

Mr Risely added: “Dan is a highly skilled and experienced digital marketing professional and the team at Mentor is thrilled to have him on board. His expertise and leadership will be invaluable as it continues to expand and grow its business over the coming years.”

Located on Somerset Street in the Kingsdown area of Bristol, Mentor Digital won a contract last year to redesign convenience store chain Spar’s º£½ÇÊÓƵ corporate websites.
