A legal tech firm has acquired an online property services company.

Loughborough-based Access Legal has bought out the Legal Bricks group of companies in an undisclosed deal.

Access Legal is part of The Access Group which provides business software while Brierley Hill-based Legal Brick, which launched in 2017, offers solicitors a customised online property search platform aimed at speeding up the conveyancing process alongside anti-money laundering products.

Access Group said the acquisition of Legal Bricks complemented its plans to create a digital workplace for law firms, bringing together a suite of legal software solutions and services.

All of Legal Brick's 40-strong team will be joining Access Legal while its founder Mike Connelly will become commercial director in the new set up.

Access Legal's managing director Doug Sawers said: "The addition of Legal Bricks and its innovative suite of property and conveyancing services moves us closer to the goal of a single sign-on, single vendor, single solution.

"We take pride in listening to our customers and we know that creating a digital workplace has never been more important for law firms to facilitate improved client experience and collaboration.
