This year's headline sponsors are and.
offers a professional and personal take on recruitment. With a dedication to customer service, transparency and trust, its team of experienced consultants help clients maximise operational efficiencies, reduce fluctuations in productivity and minimise the impact of staff turnover.
There's no doubt that the pandemic has shown the importance of the virtual world. Founded at the beginning of the pandemic and filling a gap in Hull's market, is a recruitment agency which works across the Ƶ, specialising in enriching technical workforces.
Benjamin Davis-Rice, company director of Reach Resourcing and operations manager of EDIT Recruitment, and Nathan McDonald, managing director of EDIT Recruitment, joined us to talk about their involvement in the .

Not only a headline sponsor, is also sponsoring the Customer Focus Award, something which is really important to Benjamin. He said: "The best companies have the best people, and people are a massive part of those business’s success. Customer and excellent service is such an integral part of our business, to build those outstanding long-term relationships so that people will come back and use us again and again.
"We’ve invested a lot of money in custom software and a bespoke training platform to ensure that our candidates are at the forefront of the job market. By making our job more successful, we're ultimately making our clients more successful."

Benjamin is making sure that his team are rewarded for their hard work. Every single person from the office will be attending the awards ceremony as a way to celebrate their success and for the grateful director to give back. He said: "Without them I wouldn’t be where I am at all, a major reason for our success is the staff and I’m looking forward to taking them to the event for them to enjoy; it’ll be a good night."
"I think, ultimately, it’s one of the more well-known awards in the area. People have been locked up for 18 months and everybody loves a beer at a black-tie do, don’t they? It's the first one I'll have been to since Covid took over so I’m really looking forward to it.
As a new business, is able to use the event as a way to put its name out there. Nathan said: "With such an infancy in the company, it’s all about that brand recognition and getting people to know what we do, what we’re good at and how we can actually help them."
With years of experience under his belt, Nathan knows how business works in other cities but sees the value in the atmosphere of Hull's business sector. He said: "Hull is a special place for business because of the community aspect. What strikes me is that everyone is willing to help one another, to collaborate and work together just from the basis of because we’re from Hull. For example, in my charity work I can reach out to certain connections from Hull and I know that I’ll be welcomed in."
Benjamin agreed, mentioning how the origins of his business were created by helpful Hull industry experts freely providing their advice and experience. He said: "It’s that mentality of together you go further and that really resonates as Hull as a city. People just want to do a decent day’s work and with people like that, it makes it easier to succeed."

Now in a position to give back, Benjamin is pleased to be able to sponsor an event that has "such a positive impact on the business community. It’s quite a rewarding experience to be able to put ourselves in that position."
Offering that help which both industry moguls say the people of Hull are so brilliant at, they both have the sentiments of giving it a go and putting in the work.
Benjamin advised that the path to success isn't always what you expect, and to "be open to opportunity and be flexible. I think you need to be open to the hard work before you can pick and choose exactly what you want to do."
Manager and director of a new business himself, Nathan always lives by the quote of "I'd rather be successful in trying, than successful in never trying. You've got to risk to reap the rewards, and even if you do fail or make a mistake, you learn from it and can do it again but better. If you want to go do something, just go do it."
