There’s now less than a month to get entries in for the Hull Live Business Awards.
Applications and nominations must be submitted online by Sunday, September 24, with the judging panel now confirmed to decide on the winners of the prestigious accolades. They will be presented at the gala celebration in Hull in November.
The business calendar highlight has been refreshed for 2023, with categories covering all sizes of business across all sectors, with individual awards for leaders and shining stars.

So who will be casting their eyes over the entries this year?
Jo Barnes, managing director of city-headquartered Sewell Estates, and Jan Brumby, chief executive of For Entrepreneurs Only are returning, while Simon Jones and Furqan Alamgir join the panel.
Furqan is chief executive of headline sponsor Connexin, a leading Hull-based technology company specialising in smart city solutions and internet of things connectivity.
Described as a visionary entrepreneur and business leader, he has a relentless passion for innovation and commitment to his sector that has established him as a prominent figure within it, as well as Hull - having overseen a huge period of growth that resulted in a new headquarters this past year.

Recently named as one of the Top 100 Fastest Growing Tech companies at the Northern Tech Awards, Connexin was founded in 2006 while Furqan studied medicine at Imperial College, London.
Simon is the inspirational figure behind the Hull and Humber Top 30 Under 30 programme, equipping a pipeline of future leaders with key skills. He launched it in 2018, having established a career in recruitment, with his firm, Identify, having been set up four years earlier. This past year has seen him launch Hype3, a media production company, creating engaging content for organisations. This new venture has already grown significantly, with projects including large scale, targeted social media campaigns, through to TV advertisement campaigns for high-profile clients.
Alongside her Sewell Estates responsibilities, spanning construction, facilities management, property investment/development and consultancy services, Jo is founder and managing director of Shared Agenda, a Sewell Group company that provides estates advisory services to public and private sector customers across the 海角视频. She joined the group 14 years ago after a 14 year career in the public sector working in regeneration across the North of England and Scotland.
Jan’s work with the mentor and support organisation makes her one of the leading advocates of building your own business. Her career history spans the financial, education and charity sectors, having worked with leading names including HSBC, the University of Hull and Young Enterprise. She was awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion in 2006.
