As a trailblazer in his sport, Max鈥檚 role as an ambassador underlines the university鈥檚 determination to provide unmatched personal development opportunities to allow students to be the best they possibly can be.
Prospective students will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with Max, find out more about the university鈥檚 unique partnership with Team GB and hear about his insights into personal development and success.
To help with the recent rise of fuel costs, the university has increased its open day travel grant (for anybody travelling more than 20 miles) by 25%, book on to the University of Hull Open Day on Saturday 25 June .
Three lucky people will be given a golden ticket at the event so they can meet with the champion on a one-to-one basis and receive some Team GB merchandise.
Max, who has been an ambassador for the university since 2019, said: "I am really looking forward to being back on campus for the open day. Since taking on my role as ambassador for the University of Hull I have really enjoyed meeting staff and students at the university. It is a really friendly place to be.鈥
His role as ambassador has enabled him to share his attitude to goal-setting and achieving success with students. He said: "Throughout my career, I鈥檝e had to learn to handle pressure, overcome setbacks and remain focused on my targets. There are so many transferrable skills for students and I really enjoy sharing these with students and staff at the university.鈥
The University of Hull is committed to building an inclusive society and also values the opportunity to celebrate the region's growing economy, which is why it is sponsoring the Diversity and Inclusion category at the later this year.
