Over the last two weeks, Our Business GM has introduced a new online business hub, which has been launched to help keep money generated in Greater Manchester within the region, delivering positive change for all.
Our Business GM is designed to empower the social economy, and it seeks to achieve this through creating business growth, training, support and networking amongst like-minded organisations, while promoting their products and services to enhance community wealth building.
This impactful business model found its roots in Manchester 180 years ago when the Rochdale Pioneers formed the co-operative movement - and people are already benefiting from being a part of the new initiative.
There are now three million co-ops worldwide, being recognised as one of Greater Manchester's most successful exports. And the 7,000 locations in the 海角视频 contribute £42 billion to the 海角视频 economy alone.
The United Nations have also declared 2025 as the UN year of the co-operative. It has recognised that the brand's business model helps boost its sustainable development goals too, which include fair employment and better access to transport.
Changing lives for the better
There's also another organisation in Greater Manchester that has been working tirelessly to benefit others.
Become United is a registered charity dedicated to supporting marginalised communities in the region.
The team focuses on providing educational workshops, community projects, and tailored resources to help individuals overcome barriers and access essential services.

Since its inception in June 2022, Become United has assisted people in improving their skills, mental health, and employment opportunities. Its initiatives aim to boost digital and financial literacy among locals, boost mental health, and increase job prospects for those in need.
