Two of the biggest names in the global cruise industry have announced their relocation to Woking, Surrey, from their previous º£½ÇÊÓÆµ and Ireland base.
The decision by MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys is a reflection of the companies' ongoing expansion and their commitment to the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ and Ireland's cruise market.
The cruise lines hope that their new headquarters will provide a platform for further growth, with several exciting opportunities set to launch this year.
The move also marks a renewed pledge by MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys to support local and national charities, with plans to increase investment in the local community, forge new partnerships, and create opportunities for local residents.
The world’s third-largest cruise line, MSC Cruises operates in more than 100 countries, and is the market leader in Europe, South America, the Middle East, and Southern Africa. With a commitment to innovation, design and technology, it plans to operate a fleet of 23 ships across the globe by summer 2025.
The luxury lifestyle brand Explora Journeys currently has two ships in service, and promises “European sophistication with a boutique hotel ambiance”, and “immersive journeys focused on discovery, wellbeing, and connection”.

As part of their expansion strategy in the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ & Ireland, MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys aim to recruit local talent and strengthen their regional ties. Beyond business operations, they plan to support local charities through fundraising and community-driven initiatives.
