The Health Lottery鈥檚 new monthly 拢250,000 Mega Raffle launches this Saturday, September 1.
Players will be given the chance to win this new jackpot, whilst more importantly, also supporting local health causes by raising money for hundreds of charities across the depth and breadth of Great Britain.
This week鈥檚 Monthly Mega Raffle will take place at 7pm.
With its core aim to make a real difference to thousands of people across Great Britain, over 拢100 million has been raised by society lotteries through The Health Lottery.
Martin Ellice, from Health Lottery, said: 鈥淭his Saturday鈥檚 first ever 拢250,000 Mega Raffle is momentous for The Health Lottery. This is why we want more players than ever before. All of our work here at The Health Lottery has one specific purpose: to raise more money for those local charities who need it the most. The more people take part, the more help we can provide.鈥
During August, Health Lottery South East was raising money through The Health Lottery scheme to support local good causes in its region. It鈥檚 also super easy to get involved. To win the Mega Raffle, players simply pay 拢1 per line and choose five numbers between 1 and 50. For each line purchased in the main Health Lottery draw in each of their 5 draws per week, the player also receives one entry into that month鈥檚 Mega Raffle.
After years of being a loyal Health Lottery player Martyn, 58, from Swindon was shocked to find out that he had scooped a 拢49,535 jackpot prize one morning as he was getting ready for work. Here鈥檚 what he had to say:
鈥淢y first reaction was that I couldn鈥檛 believe it鈥 exclaimed Martyn sporting a look of surprise. 鈥淚 checked the ticket 3 times and then realised that I had got all the numbers!鈥
With more chances to win, it鈥檚 no wonder why the Mega Raffle is generating so much excitement.
What is the Health Lottery?
The Health Lottery is an independent British lottery scheme. It manages 12 regional lotteries across Great Britain. Each month, the money raised is allocated to one of those regions in rotation.

The 12 regional lotteries are run for one specific purpose: Tackling health inequalities in their respective.
Over 拢100 million has been raised so far. Every 拢1 ticket bought helps raise even more.
Each of the 12 regional lotteries is licensed by the Gambling Commission.
