From hundreds of entries of hard-working teams and individuals across the region, this year's finalists of the North East HR&D Awards have been chosen.
Often the cogs keeping businesses turning, the innovators making influential changes which change the future, these teams are creating a more diverse workplace, building systems of support and opportunity for apprentices, improving talent acquisition and retention, prioritising the health and well-being of employees, and more.
The awards will be taking place on June 15 at The Fed, Gateshead. Tickets are available and include a sparkling drinks reception, a three-course dinner, entertainment and the grand awards ceremony.
Taking us through the night will be presenter and actress Kirsten O'Brien and writer, comic, actor, impressionist, singer, presenter, and artist/cartoonist Alfie Joey, who hosted the flagship BBC Newcastle breakfast show for over a decade.
