Celebrate the region's green energy champions at the 2023 Humber Renewables Awards

The awards will celebrate the businesses and individuals that make the Humber a leader in renewables and green energy

This year's finalists have been decided, and the winners will be announced at a ceremony held on May 4

The hope for a healthier, happier, greener future has never been greater.

The need for renewable energy, and a move towards a more sustainable economy, is more important than ever.

As a major hub of renewable energy, the Humber plays host to a number of businesses leading the way in this field.

The 2023 Humber Renewables Awards are fast approaching, as we prepare to celebrate the environmental champions working to propel us towards a greener future.

Now in their eleventh year, the awards give us a chance to celebrate the trailblazing businesses and individuals who go above and beyond to produce new innovations in renewables, drive their industries forward, and inspire all of us to be champions for the natural world.

This year’s headline partner is RWE, a global player in renewable energy, and one that is driving the energy transition rapidly, with a target of achieving net zero by 2040. RWE is already the º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s second largest power producer and third largest renewable generator, and supplies around 15% of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ's electricity.

The Humber is a key location for RWE, and the recent creation of a new Centralised Control Room (CCR) located at a state-of-the-art offshore operations and maintenance facility, the Grimsby Hub, marks a major strategic commitment to the region.

Speaking about the awards, Guy Middleton, general manager for the Grimsby Hub, said: “RWE has been a supporter of the Humber Renewables Awards for a number of years, and we are honoured to be headline partner for 2023 as the awards celebrate their eleventh year.
