A Yorkshire brownie business is set for major expansion which will see it open cafes across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ this next year.

Love Brownies’ has won a range of awards from the likes of Great British Foods and Great Taste for its chocolate treats, all of which are crafted at its base in the Brownie Barn, which also serves as a cafe and shop for visiting walkers, cyclists and tourists in Barden, North Yorkshire.

The bakery’s brownies are sold online and shipped out to shops and cafes across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ, including their own brownie cafes.

New plans will see the company double in size in the next 10 months as it opens a raft of new brownie shops.

The company, which started on owner and head-baker Chantal Teal’s kitchen table in Ilkley in 2009, has just opened its 12th brownie shop and cafe, and it will open 10 more this year.

The latest store in Loughton, Essex, will be followed by a Bristol cafe in May with more shops already planned to open every month for the rest of 2021.

The company, which has also just moved into larger headquarters in Ilkley, already has brownie cafes in Harrogate, West Kirby, Angel Islington, Southgate, Guildford, Canterbury, Swindon, Clapham Junction, Penarth and the Brownie Barn in Barden.

The company employs nine people at its Ilkley base and around 70 people across its retail outlets.
