Wren reveals where 100th showroom will open as 97th ticked off

Zeros will come up in Greenwich for kitchen giant

Wren Kitchens has revealed that its 100th showroom will open in Greenwich in November.

The zeros will come up in the London borough, home to prime meridian - 0 degrees longitude.

The kitchen giant had targeted 2020 for the milestone, and the location was revealed as the 97th store opened in Mansfield on Friday, September 18.

A total of 18 jobs were created following the transformation of a former Dreams unit at Portland Retail Park.

Headquartered in Barton, northern Lincolnshire, Wren is a vertically integrated £600 million turnover operation, manufacturing the kitchens it sells through the rapidly expanding showroom network.

To serve the roll-out it has introduced regional depots with all logistics part of the in-house model too.

An employer of 5,500 people, it has just ventured into the US also, with hopes of replicating a solid decade of success in the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ, having been launched by former Hygena boss Malcolm Healey in East Yorkshire.

Wren quickly expanded, taking on the vacated Kimberly-Clark nappy manufacturing site on the South Bank, and transforming it into The Nest.
