Wren Kitchens has become the first company to retain its position as the country’s best retail employer.

The pan-Humber business scored the highest once again in a major annual survey conducted by recruiter Indeed.

Wren employs more than 5,500 people nationwide, and is about to launch in the US. It claimed the top spot ahead of household names such as John Lewis, Marks and Spencer, Harrods, Selfridges and Ikea.

The rankings are derived from millions of employee reviews, taking into account salaries and benefits, but also factors such as career progression and the culture of each business.

Founded just 10 years ago, Wren is now the º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s largest kitchen retailer with 91 showrooms across the country.

The first USA showroom due to open in Milford, Connecticut this summer, with manufacturing also being ramped up.

Mark Pullan, managing director, said: “We are incredibly proud to be crowned the º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s best retail employer for the second year running.

“Wren’s continued growth is a testament to the dedication and commitment of our amazing team, many of whom have been with us from the beginning of the journey. It has been wonderful to watch people develop as the business has grown, and a significant number of new opportunities will now arise in all areas of our business as we expand into America.”
