Wren Kitchens has had a luxury design crowned Kitchen of the Year by Ideal Home magazine.

The pan-Humber manufacturing and retail giant wowed judges with materials, craftsmanship and lay-out of the Infinity Plus Shaker.

Described as expertly designed for modern living, it featured a multi-material island with dedicated seating, colour matched cabinetry and a home office integrated seamlessly within the space - underlining the contemporary approach.

Wren’s showroom development and design director, Darren Watts, said: “We are very proud of our British manufacturing, expert design and product innovation.

“All of our kitchens are designed, developed and made in the Ƶ to the highest standards. We are committed to Ƶ manufacturing and great British design which means we can create affordable luxury kitchens.”

The £600 million turnover company is currently expanding operations at The Nest in Barton, while also opening in the US.

It has just passed the 100-store mark in the Ƶ, from a standing start a decade ago as ex-Hygena boss Malcolm Healey turned back to the sector.

Attention to detail and on-trend use of colour swayed the panel, with jade and soft cotton shaker units and white Venice Xena Quartz worktops. Even that is manufactured in-house.
