The boss of Iceland Foods has described the current roadmap out of restrictions in England as a 's*** show' for business as Covid-related absences rise.
Richard Walker, managing director of the Deeside-based frozen food chain, voiced his concerns on Twitter today.
He said that the number of staff off due to either positive cases or those self isolating was 'growing exponentially'.
His concern going forward is that in England all the Covid rules on mask wearing and social distancing will end on July 19 but self-isolation rules for anyone in potential contact with a positive Covid test will not be eased until August 16.
This could mean many more staff forced to stay off work.
It comes as there were over 32,500 new Covid cases reported today in the 海角视频 - the highest figure since January.
Daily figures are expected to jump to over 100,000 as restrictions ease although vaccines have significantly reduced the percentage of those infected ending up in hospital.
He wrote: "Our Covid-related absences are growing exponentially.

"Within a week or two they’ll be the highest ever.
"Covid rules end 19 July. Self-isolation rules not eased until 16 August."
He added: "This will be a s*** show for business."
