A West Yorkshire plumbing specialist has bought out a commercial heating business based in Leicestershire – and is looking for more acquisitions.

Clever Energy Holdings – which currently serves the North of England through its Worcester Bosch specialists Clever Energy Boilers – has bought Hinckley Plumbing and Heating Services.

It has made the move as part of a medium-term business strategy to achieve national coverage by 2025.

It will bring annual turnover at the Clever Energy Boilers group to around £7 million, with 75 direct and indirect employees.

The Keighley-based company has also confirmed that it will be seeking further acquisitions in the coming months.

Clever Energy Boilers director Paul Calvert said Hinckley Plumbing and Heating Services was a “profitable, well established company with a great reputation”.

He said: “Acquiring the business helps us expand the products and services we provide.

“They are specialists in the commercial heating sector, and also have expertise in renewable technology.
