The guidance covers issues like the 10pm curfew, face masks and cinemas

This Tuesday Welsh Government First Minister Mark Drakeford announced that new rules on hospitality are set to come into force in Wales.

Those rules included a 10pm closing time for licensed premises although Mr Drakeford later indicated this was actually the time for last orders.

The rules kick-in at 6pm this evening.

Now the government has published additional guidance for businesses and customers - including rules on face masks, closing times and room service.

Here is what they say:

Do I need to wear a face covering in cafes, restaurants, pubs or bars?

Yes. Face coverings are required in areas where you are not seated at a table.

Are there limits on when I can buy alcohol?

Yes. From Thursday 24 September at 6pm, hospitality businesses in Wales – such as pubs, cafes, restaurants, sports clubs and casinos – will have to stop selling alcohol at 10pm.

Places selling alcohol to drink on the premises will also have to provide table service only.

All places licensed to sell alcohol for consumption on the premises will need to close by 10.20pm.
