Wales First Minister Mark Drakeford has confirmed Welsh Government will announce a new set of post-firebreak national restrictions on Monday.
A 17 day circuit breaker lockdown started in Wales last Friday at 6pm - with the short, sharp measures due to end on November 9.
Businesses have been pressing Welsh Government to unveil a roadmap for after the firebreak.
Mr Drakeford confirmed this will come on Monday morning.
It is understood further detail and clarification will then follow at the Welsh Government briefing on Monday lunchtime.
He said today that national restrictions rather than local lockdowns would help provide clearer guidance by simplifying the rules.
One issue up for debate will be if any travel restrictions will remain in place after the firebreak.

“Businesses need to be empowered to reopen with confidence on the 9 November, and supported to do so safely and sustainably. The key for the thousands of businesses that are currently closed is that they are able to reopen swiftly and make the most of the run-up to Christmas. Businesses will need to have guidance from Welsh Government so that they understand what they can and cannot do.
“In order to do this, Welsh Government must work closely with business organisations to develop a new strategy for dealing with coronavirus that enables businesses to plan."

They said these rules would cover how people can meet and how the public sector and businesses operate.
The government has already said all shops, pubs, bars and restaurants will be able to reopen.
Places of worshop will also open and people will be able to use leisure facilities like gyms.
Minister Jeremy Miles added that “ideally” the rules would be “simpler”.

Before the firebreak began last Friday, 17 areas across Wales were already under local lockdown.
Rules of travel have yet to be revealed with this key to the viability of many tourism and hospitality businesses as the crucial Christmas season approaches.
