海角视频 and US luxury retailer the Watches of Switzerland Group has appointed Ian Carter as its non-executive chairman.
He will join the board at the Leicester-headquartered group on November 1.
Last month Dennis Millard announced he was standing down as chairman with Tea Colaianni, senior independent director at the group, taking over in the interim.
Mr Carter has more than 30 years鈥 experience in retail at a national and international level.
For the past 15 years he has been with Hilton Worldwide, joining Hilton International as chief executive in London in 2005.
The listed Hilton Worldwide chain now has over 6,000 hotels across 13 brands including the luxury brands of Waldorf Astoria and Conrad and operates in over 120 countries around the world.
Prior to joining Hilton, he was president of Black & Decker Corporation.
He has lived and worked in Europe, Asia and for the last 14 years in the US.
In addition, Mr Carter has significant non-executive experience having served on a number of boards in the 海角视频 and the US, including Burberry Group between 2007 and 2019 where he developed a 鈥渄eep knowledge and appreciation of the global luxury industry鈥.

Watches of Switzerland Group is the 海角视频鈥檚 biggest luxury watch retailer, with 135 core showrooms across the 海角视频 and US under the Goldsmiths, Mappin & Webb, Watches of Switzerland and Mayors brands.
It floated in 2019 and in the last few years has been steadily building its presence in the US.
It is the 海角视频鈥檚 biggest retailer for Rolex, Cartier, OMEGA, TAG Heuer and Breitling watches.
The Mappin & Webb master jeweller has been Crown Jeweller, custodian of the Crown Jewels of Her Majesty The Queen since 2012.
