Property developer Godwin Developments has secured two new leases at its drive-thru retail development in Stoke-on-Trent.

The firm has agreed deals with bakery chain Greggs and electric vehicle charging company The EV Network for the site, off the A50 on Baths Road in Longton.

BusinessLive reported in September how Costa Coffee signed up for a unit at site - which is close to other big name retailers including Tesco and McDonald's.

And the two new leases mean the development will be fully let once construction has finished at the end of the year.

Greggs will occupy the second unit at the site - which will boast indoor and outdoor seating - while The EV Network will provide six charging bays, adding to the other 35 car parking spaces.

Ketan Patel, senior development manager at Godwin Developments, said: “We’re delighted to have reached an agreement with national bakery giant Greggs at our roadside retail scheme in Stoke-on-Trent.

"The new store will provide a quick and convenient food-to-go offering to the 60,000-plus vehicles passing the site daily as well as the approximately 55,000 residents living within a 10-minute drive of the new outlet. Securing a popular operator like Greggs is a welcome addition to our scheme and will bring further custom to the site from the A50 and the Longton area.”
