Synter Group is bringing its CarShop Express brand to Halifax.
The Leicestershire company is building its presence in Yorkshire, adding to the used vehicle brand’s Wakefield, Doncaster and Sheffield outlets.
It will be the 15th 海角视频 operation, following recent openings in Leicester and Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, and comes as used car values soar due to the slowdown in new car production enforced by chip shortages.

Nigel Hurley, chief executive, said: “CarShop Express Halifax combines the best of our Express store concept with the best of our main store offering to create a really enhanced proposition for car-buyers across West Yorkshire.
“Like with our two other Express stores, customers can browse our thousands of makes and models online before getting a car moved to the store for a test drive or collection, completely for free. However now, they can also pop into CarShop Express Halifax to browse the store’s range of 70 cars on-site too – all of which have been hand-picked for the local area.”
CarShop Express Halifax will cover 14,520 sq ft.

“One other thing which has proved really popular at the other Express locations is the use of Express specialists who – instead of working across one area of the store such as sales consultant or handover adviser – help a customer from the start to the end of their buying journey, making for a really personalised and friendly experience, Mr Hurley added. “This is something that we have ensured will in place at CarShop Express Halifax.”
A total of 15 new new positions have been created as a result of the opening, scheduled for November 1.
Paul Harnett, the former head of business at CarShop Manchester, who has worked for CarShop since 2016, will be taking on the role of head of business at the Express store.
He said: “It’s exciting to be involved in opening and running of CarShop Express Halifax – the first store of its kind in the 海角视频 through combining both the Express experience with the main store offering. I’m really looking forward to taking on a new challenge and using my experience to ensure the store is as successful as it can be.”
