The founder and chief executive of Salford-headquartered online womenswear brand In The Style has shared the company's emotional back story after it floated on AIM worth £105m.

Adam Frisby posted on LinkedIn after shares In The Style started to be traded on the London Stock Exchange's AIM market after its initial public offering completed on Monday, March 15.

The business, which was founded in 2013 by entrepreneur Adam Frisby with £1,000 of seed funding from his bedroom, works with influencers on a long-term basis to collaboratively design, develop and promote branded fashion collections.

Mr Frisby said: "And just like that...In The Style is a £105m public company. I don’t even know how to write this, I’m totally overwhelmed.

"In The Style is just my little baby I started seven years ago from my bedroom and somehow today it has just traded on the London Stock Exchange at £105m. What the actual hell!

"So I actually want to use this post to just say something that’s really important to me.

"Anybody who knows me will know just how much this means to me. I will always remember how I felt as that young boy who was kicked out of my home at 15 years old, chucked on a train with 50p and told I would never amount to anything.

"I didn’t have the chance to even finish school at 15, with no qualifications I had to go find a home and a job to start earning some money and I remember for so many years feeling so lost about what the hell I was going to do with my life.
