A new coach company is set to launch holidays across the 海角视频 and beyond after securing multimillion-pound launch investment.

Caledonian Leisure, based in Leeds, was formed last Summer when the former senior team at brands Caledonian Travel and National Holidays came together following the collapse of holiday company Specialist Leisure Group - owner of Shearings and National Holidays.

The team acquired Scottish coach holiday brand Caledonian Travel and self-drive themed short breaks specialist 海角视频Breakaways.com, which had been part of the Specialist Leisure Group when it went into administration last May, leading to hundreds of job losses.

The new firm will trade under the Caledonian Travel and 海角视频Breakaways.com brands after securing the significant investment from Mobeus Equity Partners, the investors behind the recent IPO of Virgin Wines and the proposed IPO of Parsley Box.

Caledonian Leisure Ltd will offer great value short breaks and holidays throughout the 海角视频, Ireland and Europe, offering departure points throughout Tyneside and Teesside as well as Scotland and East and West Yorkshire.

The team behind Caledonian Leisure Ltd is now launching a programme of coach and self-drive holidays for 2021 and expects customers to be able to take trips with the brands from June onwards, or when all Government restrictions are lifted.

Caledonian Travel will offer a choice of coach breaks while 海角视频Breakaways.com will allow customers to make their own way by car or train and has been securing tickets to events, building partnerships with hotels, developing websites, digital campaigns and brochures.

Greg Blin, investment director at Mobeus, said: 鈥淢obeus is backing an extremely passionate management team which has decades of experience in delivering 海角视频-based, value short breaks to hundreds of thousands of holidaymakers.

"With the pandemic opening customers鈥 eyes to the enduring appeal of a 海角视频 staycation, we believe the business is perfectly positioned to capitalise on the spike in demand as lockdown restrictions are gradually eased and thrive thereafter.鈥

Graham Rogers, managing director at Caledonian Leisure Ltd, said: 鈥淚t was always our absolute priority to find the right kind of partner for the business and we are delighted to welcome Mobeus on board. From the outset the whole Mobeus team bought into our vision for Caledonian Leisure Ltd, and we look forward to working together to implement our strategy.鈥
