Eight holiday parks across the South West and Wales have been acquired for an undisclosed sum.

RoyaleGroup, the owners of º£½ÇÊÓƵ holiday lodge and adventure park operator RoyaleResorts, has agreed a deal to buy the sites from competitor The Haulfryn Group.

Six of the parks are based in the South West, of which three are on the edge of Dartmoor National Park in Devon - Finlake Resort & Spa, Holmans Wood, and Dartmoor View.

The other three in the region are Devon Hills near Paignton; Brokerswood near Longleat, Wiltshire; and Praa Sands, close to Penzance in Cornwall. The two Welsh sites are Gimblet Rock and Aberafon on the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales.

Hampshire-based RoyaleGroup - which also oversees bungalow provider RoyaleLife - said the completion of sale was expected towards the end of the year.

Chief operating officer, Jason Williams, said: “The acquisition of these parks from The Haulfryn Group is a perfect fit as we continue to grow the RoyaleResorts brand, our holiday and leisure part of the business.

“They will widen RoyaleResort’s offering particularly in the South-West and give our customers an even bigger choice as they seek outstanding holidays in superb locations.”

RoyaleResorts already has a portfolio of 16 destinations, including eight in the South West.
