Wren Kitchens’ 100th showroom will be its first in the USA.
Opening schedules for the manufacturing retailer have changed, with Greenwich in London having previously been identified for the milestone.
It will now be an extra special Stateside launch on November 5 - deserving of the day’s fireworks despite it being a purely British tradition.
Milford, Connecticut will take Wren into three figures, with the business founded by former Hygena boss Malcolm Healey having grown from a standing start in 2009.
Initially due to open in the summer, it will be located in an expansive former Babies ‘R’ Us site off Interstate 95.
The 31,465 sq ft venue will be crowned the largest kitchen showroom in America, with more to follow in the North East as part of the transatlantic strategy revealed in February.
Located 60 miles up coast from New York City, it is almost double the size of the 99th showroom, opened this past week in Oldham, Greater Manchester.
By pure coincidence, Greenwich is one of a handful of Long Island-facing towns between the Big Apple and Milford. The store in the royal 海角视频 borough is on course to open later next month.

The US giant is set to feature more than 100 kitchen displays, with Levittown, New York and Newington, Connecticut, to follow.
Announcing the strategy prior to lockdown, which is understood to have enforced the timing tweaks, a spokesperson said: “We’re excited to bring our vertically integrated model to the United States, the largest home improvement market in the world.
“It’s imperative to offer our customers a first-class experience, and that starts in our showrooms. We invest heavily in them to offer the latest styles and a truly experiential visit where they can see their kitchen in virtual reality. And also in training our retail staff to offer the customer a fantastic service.”
Manufacturing and distribution is also being established in Pennsylvania, across New York State from the first tranche of openings. It hopes to replicate the model that has been developed over the past decade, and now employs 5,500 in the 海角视频, headquartered in Barton, North Lincolnshire.
It was recently welcomed as bringing “family sustaining manufacturing jobs to our area” by Wico van Genderen, president and chief executive of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce, who described Wren as a prominent European company.

Roles include customer support representatives, warehouse manager, supervisors and associates, machine operators, paint sprayers, paint line operators, production supervisors, assembly associates and drivers.
