Greeting card supplier Scribbler is planning to open a store at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway, near Bristol.

The retailer has signed a 10-year lease for a 564 sq ft store at the shopping centre.

Founded in 1981, Scribbler has grown its presence across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ and has become synonymous with its quirky gift and greeting card designs. The new branch will sell greeting cards and gifts, including popular soft toy range Jellycat.

Katie Searle, director, asset management at Sovereign Centros by CBRE, said: “We are delighted to welcome Scribbler to Cribbs Mall as it is a brand we believe will really resonate with our younger shopper demographic.

“It is the latest sign of the demand we are seeing from leading brands keen to capitalise on the extensive shopper base which Cribbs benefits from."

Scribbler’s arrival follows the news that Clarendon Fine Art will upsize to a larger space at Cribbs, which has seen a 9% rise in footfall and 6% growth in sales over the past 12 months.

The art shop is moving into the 1,214 sq ft former Typo store after signing a 10-year lease. The branch will showcase a portfolio of fine artists, ranging from top international names and award winners such as Fabian Perez and Doug Hyde, as well as new talents including Samantha Ellis and Kerry Darlington.

"It is great to see Clarendon Fine Art upsize to a larger spaceT," added Ms Searle. "These two lettings are core examples of our dynamic leasing strategy which looks to introduce new names whilst ensuring our existing occupiers continue to thrive ensuring we remain one of the country’s best performing retail destinations.”
