Sales and profits rise at bedding firm which supplies B&M, Sainsbury's and House of Fraser

Sales and profits grew at a bedding company whose products are sold by the likes of B&M, Sainsbury's and House of Fraser, during its latest financial year.

The Downland Bedding Company has reported a turnover of £17.9m for the 12 months to April 30, 2021, up from the £14.7m it achieved during the prior year.

The Liverpool-headquartered business also posted pre-tax profits of £354,286, a rise from £250,532.

The company's other clients include Very, Littlewoods, Pundstretcher and Argos.

A statement signed off by the board said: "The company faces a number of risks and uncertainties and the directors believe that those that are key to the business are in respect of competition from other º£½ÇÊÓÆµ manufacturers and meeting customer expectations for quality, delivery, performance and availability.
