Birmingham's reputation as a hub for fine dining was cemented again today when four of the city's best-known restaurants
And in another boost for the West Midlands, venue The Cross, launched just a year ago by Simpsons owner Andreas Antona and led by its former head chef Adam Bennett, was awarded its first star.
Mr Bennett also featured in a look at alongside another Michelin-starred chef, actress Felicity Jones and Gregory Doran, artistic director of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
The 2015 award for the holy quartet of Adam's, Purnell's, Simpsons and Turners means that Birmingham is the only º£½ÇÊÓÆµ city to have four Michelin star restaurants outside of capitals London, Dublin, Edinburgh and Cardiff.
