Pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes will be able to re-open indoors from Monday in Wales.

This was confirmed by First Minister Mark Drakeford today ahead of a briefing at 12.30pm.

They will be able to open from August 3 along with indoor bowling alleys, auction houses and bingo halls.

He also told Radio 5 Live this morning that swimming pools, gyms and leisure centres can open on August 10.

He said: "Three main things in Wales today.

"We are going to allow hospitality to reopen indoors as from Monday, cafes, restaurants, pubs and so on.

"A week from Monday we will reopen swimming pools, gyms and leisure centres."

He added: "It is a very careful balancing act. The virus in Wales continues to fall."
