Kitchenware brand ProCook has appointed a new non-executive director and remuneration committee chair. Meg Lustman is taking over from Luke Kingsnorth, who is stepping down from the board to focus on other professional commitments.

He will leave the Gloucester-headquartered group on June 25, the company has announced, and Ms Lustman will take up the role on the same date. She will also become a member of Procook's nomination committee and the audit and risk committee.

Ms Lustman has more than 35 years of retail experience and was previously chief executive of British fashion brand Hobbs. She has also held senior positions at a number of º£½ÇÊÓƵ retailers including John Lewis, Warehouse, and Aurora/Mosaic Fashions.

She is currently a non-executive director of N Brown Group and chair of its remuneration committee and interim chair of the nominations and governance committee. She is also vice chair of Court, chair of the remuneration committee at Glasgow Caledonian University and chair of St Luke’s Hospice (Harrow and Brent).

Greg Hodder, Procook chair, said: “We are delighted to welcome Meg to the ProCook board, as she brings a wealth of retail experience, having led the º£½ÇÊÓƵ and international growth of some of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s best-known retailers. This will be invaluable to the business as we continue to build on the growing momentum in our performance.”

“In addition, I would like to thank Luke for the consistently high quality of his contribution to the board during his time with us, since our IPO.”

In April, Procook announced total revenue of £13.2m for the 12 weeks ending March 31, 2024 - an increase of 4.8% year on year. The company said retail revenue growth was bolstered by the opening of two new stores in the previous quarter and the upsize relocation of a third store during the period, partly offset by the closure of three smaller garden centre stores and the cookery school.
