Pringles popularity boosts º£½ÇÊÓÆµ sales at Kellogg's despite cereals fall

The continued popularity of Pringles has helped Kellogg's rack up sales of almost £930m in the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ, new documents have revealed.

The US giant, which has its largest º£½ÇÊÓÆµ factory in Trafford Park, Greater Manchester, added that its cereal sales fell from their high point during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The group operates two º£½ÇÊÓÆµ businesses, Kellogg Marketing and Sales Company (º£½ÇÊÓÆµ) and Kellogg Company of Great Britain, which are both headquartered at MediaCity in Salford.

According to newly-filed accounts with Companies House, Kellogg Marketing and Sales Company (º£½ÇÊÓÆµ) achieved a turnover of £801.2m in the 12 months to January 1, 2022, up from the £797.1m it posted for the prior 12 months.

Its pre-tax profits also increased from £19.4m to £21.1m over the same period.

New documents for Kellogg Company of Great Britain also show its turnover increased from £125.5m to £128m while its pre-tax profits went from £8.5m to £9.3m.

A statement signed off by the board for Kellogg Marketing and Sales Company (º£½ÇÊÓÆµ) said: "In 2021, the company's turnover increased compared to [the] prior period due to a growth in sales within the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ market and overseas.
