Salt House Tapas, a renowned Liverpool tapas brand, is set to launch a new restaurant in Chester this coming autumn. Occupying the previous location of Boheme on Bridge Street, the new establishment will mark the brand's expansion to a second site, featuring interior seating for 90 patrons and an additional al fresco dining option with 40 seats outside.

It will have a generously-sized bar area and will offer a contemporary seasonal tapas menu crafted by head chef Laszlo Nagy – who boasts a Green Michelin Star, two AA rosettes, and was a semi-finalist in the North West heats of BBC's Great British Menu. The enterprise is co-owned by Matt Robinson and Luke Creedon, with Creedon previously serving as executive chef for eight years before assuming part-ownership with Matt in early 2024.

"We're thrilled to be bringing the Salt House Tapas experience to Chester," said Luke. "The city's food scene is thriving and we can't wait to share our passion for tapas with the local community. Our focus will be on maintaining the same high standards of food, drink and service that we've become known for in Liverpool, whilst embedding ourselves in the city's vibrant hospitality scene."

Salt House Tapas is set to operate seven days a week from 12pm, offering a lunchtime £17.95 menu daily, alongside its a la carte selection. An official opening date is yet to be announced, reports .
