A mobile coffee business has put down permanent roots in its native North East after opening its first permanent base in Newcastle city centre.

NorthShore Coffee Co has built a strong reputation through its mobile venture, which sees its team travel around the º£½ÇÊÓƵ to supply its coffee and food at events and pop-ups.

More recently, in the absence of events, the business has garnered a new client base after setting up a pitch in Gosforth, Newcastle, during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Now founder Toby Davison is investing in a permanent site for NorthShore Coffee Co, by opening an outlet in the city’s Grainger Market.

He said: “This is the next step for us in our growth and it is great to have something in the city centre.

“The Grainger Market is known for exactly what we provide, high-quality food and drink which you can grab on the go, so it’s a great fit for us in that respect.

“It’s been a bit of a whirlwind journey for us since we opened, we’ve been travelling up and down the country to events and have built a reputation really quickly, and this will be a great addition to that.”

The opening of the cafe comes after NorthShore Coffee Co was forced to re-evaluate its business strategy when the pandemic hit.
