The recently-appointed chair of Sainsbury's Bank has stepped down from her board position at a Manchester-headquartered fashion giant, which is behind the likes of Jacamo, Simply Be and JD Williams.

Lesley Jones had been a non-executive director at N Brown since September 2014, serving as a member of the audit and financial services committees.

In a statement issued to the London Stock Exchange, the listed company said Mrs Jones would leave her role at the end of the month.

The move comes after she was appointed as the new chair of Sainsbury's Bank in December 2020, replacing Roger Davis.

Her new appointment became effective at the end of January 2021.
